Toulson&Harvey 2005
In 2000 I formed a theatre company called Stolen Theatre with an incredible director called Chris White. Over the next three years we put on plays in London, Edinburgh and Milan. One production included a young actor by the name of Benedict Cumberbatch. Sadly, he's hardly worked since.
In 2004 I formed a double-act called TOULSON&HARVEY, with the insanely talented Stephen Harvey. The following year we were nominated for the Perrier Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Fringe alongside Rhod Gilbert, Mark Watson and eventual winner Tim Minchin. Sadly, none of the three of them have worked since.

Captain DJ in Space Pirates
I did my first stand-up gig in 2006, and in 2007 won the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year. Previous winners include Lee Mack, Stewart Lee, and Ardal O’Hanlon. I heard Lee Mack got some work, but nothing much for the other two.
Also in 2007, I played Captain DJ in 30 episodes of the BAFTA nominated CBeebies show, Space Pirates.

Russell Howard's Good News
From 2008 to 2015 I performed 7 solo stand-up shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, including 2013's I Don't Know How I Feel About My Kids, selected by Amused Moose as one of the 'Top 10 Comedy Shows'. That year I also appeared on Russell Howard’s Good News. Since then I have written for comedians on Mock The Week, Live at the Apollo and The Royal Variety Performance, directed many Edinburgh Fringe shows, and performed at the biggest comedy clubs in the UK. In 2024, 18 years after starting stand-up, I won the British Comedian of the Year, quit stand-up and moved to France.
